The Fourth Pitch

A member in our team had noticed that in most of the Ingman ice cream kiosks you can´t sit down and enjoy your ice cream.  The customers just buy their ice cream and walk away maybe if there was some music and places to sit they would stay longer.


 I pitched our Idea too one of my friends and she thought it was a good idea. It would be nice to sit down and enjoy the ice cream listening to music and chatting with some friends but It also depends on where the kiosk is located. She also said that It would be great if the kiosk could sell something to drink then maybe more people would stay and enjoy their ice cream.

The third pitch

I chose to interview two persons from different country to have a wide view of what costumers expected when they want to eat an ice-cream from a street ice-cream maker. Indeed, it can allow to Ingman kiosks to attract people who really don’t know this brand. Outcomes of the first pitch: The first person I interviewed is French. She said that she doesn’t like to eat an ice-cream by walking. So, she thinks it would be nice to have a place to seat with music and good atmosphere such as good decoration or welcoming persons. She really pays attention to the hygiene and wants to find reasonable price. For her, it’s between 3 and 6 euros but it depends on the ice-cream size and its quality (price/quality ratio). Outcomes of the second pitch: The second person is a Finnish student from the university. She said to me that she doesn’t like to eat an ice cream stand up. Indeed, she wants to find a “café-atmosphere” with tables, chairs where she could sit down with her friends. She thinks also it would be better if there was some music. Due to this pitches, I think people needs a place where they can spend time with their friends when they want to eat an ice-cream. They prefer to be seat rather than eat by walking. The two people I interviewed don’t enjoy the moment if they are alone so they always eat an ice-cream with other people. Thus, it’s important for Ingman kiosks to pay attention to its image to improve its brand image and notoriety concerning the quality of its ice-cream. Moreover, it would be a benefit for the customer to have a place to seat and have a good time with friends or family. It would be also a benefit for the company because it can attract more people and encourage them to buy more (for instance: something to drink with the ice-cream). Emma.

The second pitch

I ask to my french friends what they want from a street ice cream maker. The half people of the group are finnish so i though it'll be interesting to have a different opinion on this, one from people who could be tourist.

The first people, is a man who is 20, who likes trendy things and is living in a French Big City. He told me that what he expects to an street ice cream maker was the hygiene, a cost equal at the other street ice cream makers and also a nice place to eat his ice cream.

The second person who I interviewed, is a girl who is 20, who likes also the trendy things and is living in a small village. She told me what she expects to a street ice cream maker was the product : the quality and the choice of components and also the cutlery. In a second part, the cost and the place are also important.

We can see in this both cases, that the expectations are quiet the same. Now we will see which benefits will have the customers.

If Ingnam Cost, will be respect for the hygiene, the costumer will be more confident on these products and some will prefere these to those of another brand.

With a nice place to eat ice cream, people could take time to eat their ice creams, share a good moment.

With a high quality and choice of products, people could try a lot of different product of quality.


Finally people will appreciate a lot to have a nice place and products of quality for a reasonable cost, and will not hesitate to come eat an ice cream to this place.

The First Pitch

The need and the benefit


The customer/market need that we detected and are going to focus on first, is the possibility to enjoy the experience of eating ice-cream, rather than just enjoying the physical product. One of our team members noticed that in most Ingman kiosks, there are no place to sit and chat with other people, nor music or other entertainment. The benefit to the company would result by the customers staying longer in the kiosk, and be more likely buy drinks and other products alongside with the ice-cream. This would obviously bring more revenue to the company - we are benefitting the company via benefitting the customer. 

Outcomes of the first pitch

I pitched our idea to a friend, and here is what he thought of it;
- "This might be nice in some locations, like parks and other peaceful places. On the other hand, I've seen kiosks with these kind of solutions as well, so what's new? I don't think this would work in cities, because there are already places to sit, I just like to take my ice-cream with me and sit somewhere else. Music might be nice."
