What do the employees think?
Employees can be a great source of insight! For one the way they feel about their work place may strongly affect their customer service. And secondly the workers have the strongest connection to the customers so they will also be very likely to know how customers feel about their experience at the store.
My question to them was;
If you could change one thing in this store what would that be? Then i followed up with a discussion about the mentioned change.
- The escalators where a reoccurring topic, they shouldn't force people to walk to the other side of the escalators to continue up or down.
- 5 out of 7 thought the shop was messy and not logical, they found it hard to serve customers because of this.
- The amount of products in the shop was to large compared to the size.
- Collection of similar products in one place would be better.
- On the mens section the employees thought they had no place to put all the different products and no place to keep differnet sizes.
- Finding hangers was mentioned as hard.
- The tables and the infrastructure for product placement was to old.
- The fact that mens and women's clothes were separate was good.
- One mentioned that some brands had empty shelves and not enough products. "adidas"
